From the house, you’ll had a ringside seat to enjoy the magnificent view of the port, the fishing and sailing boats’ traffic and the opposite banks full of shops and restaurants. A few meters away, the seafront appears on low tide to fishermen’s’ houses and to the Vauban tower. Last house on Baron Gérard quay before the seafront, "le havre portais” will make you appreciate all year long the “outdoor-indoor” way of life on its south-west-facing terrace under the glass roof or under the awning. From all living rooms and bedrooms, you’ll enjoy the view either on the port or on the Vauban tower. 2 entrances to the house. Private garage and all shops accessible by foot. The lovely picturesque sailing and fishing port called Port-en-Bessin Huppain is located in Normandy, Calvados, at the heart of the D-day landing beaches area (10km away from Omaha Beach, Arromanches and Bayeux). Caen is only 30km away. On your holiday program: walk on the port and seafront, seafood and fresh fish’s tasting, D-day landing beaches tour, cultural and heritage sites, outdoor and beach games, golf, sand yachting, paragliding, trekking or just lazing about and sunbathing on the terrace… This 3-storey house built in the 30’s is about 100m². Its terrace and all living- and bedrooms offer a unique view on the port. From parts of the house, you can also see the Vauban tower or the sea. This exceptional house is neat and well-spaced, comfortable and convenient. It can sleep up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms with new bedding (2 queen-size beds). One single bed in the third room. A cot can also be installed in the parents’ room (1st floor). The living room, the master bedroom as well as the children’s bedroom are all of a contemporary and seaside style, in the white, ivory, grey and chocolate-brown tones with new furniture. Other rooms are of a more classical style. Household linen provided. On the 1st floor: one bathroom with washstand, shower and WC. Wc and utility room at the ground fFrom the window: great view on the Vauban tower. From the large living-cum-dining room: direct access on the terrace through a bay-window, downwind, south-west facing and all-year-round sunny half-covered terrace with glass-roof and electric awning, with wooden furniture, daybed, barbecue, rotary clothes line. 2 sofas, flat-screen TV and radio. Large fully equipped American kitchen (of a rustic style) with fridge and freezer, dishwasher, electric stove, hood, coffee maker, microwave…), new modern crockery.
